TWB is like classic ZZ Top on Steroids!!! Terry Whalen rocks the very foundation of you soul! That is the bottom line! - Jeff Liberty - JL Artists.
"You could hear them playing a couple of blocks away, the kind of music you can't pass by. The Terry Whalen Band already had the place rockin' and the crowd dancing right up against the stage. Even though it was October, everybody was hot and sweaty and didn't care." - Bob Mersereau
Bob Mersereau has been covering music and the East Coast Music Scene since 1985 for CBC. He's a veteran scene-maker at the ECMA's, knows where the best shows and right parties are happening, and more importantly, has survived to tell the tales. His weekly East Coast music column is heard on Shift on Radio 1 in New Brunswick each Wednesday at 4:45. He's also the author of two national best-selling books, The Top 100 Canadian Albums (2007) and The Top 100 Canadian Singles (2010).

Terry plays and endorses Ian Craig Guitars and Instruments
"If you've never played an Ian Craig original, you haven't heard the perfection of a real guitar. Every piece of wood used to make his guitars is specifically chosen to create the perfect guitar for you. Every Ian Craig guitar is a work of art". - Terry Whalen

The Terry Whalen Band deliver a tasty stew of heart thumping blues, with a grit and passion reminiscent of early ZZ Top; minus the two-foot long beards of course. In April, 2011 the band released their 4th CD, A Work in Progress. On Jan, 27th they recieved a 2012 ECMA nomination for Blues Recording of the Year. This is their thrid nomination in the past four years. This follows on the heels of A Wicked Driving Rain (2009), which received a 2010 ECMA nomination for Blues Recording of the Year, and The Devil's Fireplace (2008) which was nominated for a 2009 ECMA for Blues Recording of the Year. They were also a 2010 Music New Brunswick nominee for Blues Recording of the Year for A Wicked Driving Rain and a 2010 CBC Galaxie Rising Stars Showcase Finalist at the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival in Fredericton, NB. Add sharing the stage with Jonny Lang, Robert Cray and James Cotton at the 2010 Dutch Mason Blues Festival in Truro, NS and one could say The Terry Whalen Band are headed in the right direction.
