The Terry Whalen Band delivers a tasty stew of rock and blues, delivered with a grit and passion reminiscent of the great Muddy Waters. On December 2, 2009 the bands latest CD, A Wicked Driving Rain, recieved a 2010 ECMA nomination for Blues Recording of the Year. Two years in a row we migh add, because on December 11, 2008 the The Devil's Fireplace was nominated for a 2009 ECMA for Blues Recording of the Year.
Terry and the band were recently named as a 2010 CBC Galaxie Rising Stars Showcase Finalist where they will perform at the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival in Fredericton, NB on September 17th, 2010 at The Galaxie Barracks Tent, 495 Queen Street.
